Say Hello To The Lip Flurry

This spring, prepare to make a statement with every step, as we unveil a striking ensemble of pieces adorned with a hand-painted lip design sourced from the depths of Lulu's iconic archive. Echoing the spirit of creativity and self-expression, our 'Lip Flurry' collection invites you to embrace the fusion of artistry and fashion.

 

Let your lips speak volumes, as we celebrate the artistry that lies at the heart of SS24.

“Lip Flurry is an archival artwork that we reworked for this season” says our Design Team. “We found it fully embroidered on a frame clutch but we have re-invented the design in mixed media with printing on leather as well as embroidery.”

The painting is done in a signature surrealist style that Lulu has always found incredibly inspiring. The design features a mixture of solid lips and sketched outlines, using our very own Pantone shade of Lulu Red blended with signature shades of pink, blush and white. The pieces – from bags to wallets – act as the frame for the artwork, rather being all-over prints.

This mini collection of pieces – featuring a tote, shoulder bag, crossbody and two wallets - are all made from our softest ‘Gigi’ leather that is soft, supple and squishy to touch. Find out more about each style, below.

In a pleasingly boxy shape, new crossbody Maya is reminiscent of a retro camera bag. Crafted from supersoft, squishy leather, she’s deceivingly roomy. The Lip Flurry print really elevates this everyday style to something extraordinary. Again, Maya has the benefit of a removable strap, plus luxe additional detailing like the lip pins on the side and tactile ultra-suede lining.

Moving onto accessories, Paige is our very cool new wallet that functions in so many ways. She’s the ultimate travel wallet (with room for your passport) and also doubles as a clutch with enough space for your phone. We’ve thought of everything with Paige – there’s slots for cash, cards and even your pen, and the slip pocket on the back adds further versality. Use as your travel wallet then switch to clutch mode once you arrive at the resort!

In our quest to make the perfect wallet, allow us to introduce Demi – small in size, big on personality and functionality. As well as the usual card slots, there’s a new coin pocket feature and handy pocket at the back for your travel card complete with signature lip stitch detailing. The icing on the cake? The Lip Flurry print adds artistic flair.
