“We came across the original hand embroidered artwork panel on wool during one of our meetings with Lulu at the archive”, says head of design Elena. “The artwork was updated with the addition of the Folly and fluffy cloud like sheep, to mimic the scenery that Lulu finds herself in during spring”. The Folly sits on top of the hill with the sheep grazing across the pastures. The sheep actually live right next door to the Folly. What fabulous neighbors!
“The pieces are crafted from linen with earthy Henna leather trim accents to lend a casual and bright feel to the pieces”, says Elena. “The scenery is executed beautifully with a mix of media and hand as well as machine operated appliqué & embroidery.”
Amelia Style Notes
Perched on a grassy, flower-strewn hill sits a beautiful cherry blossom tree with its branches blowing gently in the breeze… this is the idyllic countryside scene featured on our new Amelia, crafted with embroidery and appliqué detailing. Inspired by a handheld bag from 2004, Amelia is a classic mini bowler bag with a striking silhouette: the handles are a little longer than standard which results in a lovely arching shape that adds to the fresh and playful look of this bag. We've added a detachable crossbody strap for the ultimate multi functionality.
Sienna Style Notes
Sienna is a brand new addition to our super functional day bags offer – with a signature whimsical twist. The cherry blossom is a symbol for spring and has been a much-loved motif thought various collections. We have kept the blossom tree and added a few floating blossoms as they would be caught and carried with the breeze. A roomy tote with shoulder length handles and distinct lip shaped anchors - this time with a surrealist-inspired twist. Each is different in size and is attached on an angle.
